Regional Conference Proposals for recovery and revitalization of heritage in the region of SEE06.06.2011.
Regional Alliance of ICOM for South East Europe will organize the Regional Scientific Conference with the topic Proposals for recovery and revitalization of heritage in the region of South East Europe - „Risk assessment of cultural and natural heritage in the region of South East Europe”. In the period from 26 September — 28 October 2011, ICCROM organizes Course First Aid to Cultural Heritage in Times of Conflict. Organizers of this Course are: ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) in cooperation with UNESCO and Blue Shield Network, with financial support of Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities - MiBAC. The Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade is organizing the annual meeting of ICOM (International Council of Museums) Costume Committee, which will take place in Belgrade from September 25th-30th 2011. The theme of the meeting In Between – Culture of dress between the East and the West is all-encompassing, so that the papers, exhibitions, poster presentations and workshops will discuss how many centuries of cultural exchange between East and West have influenced the culture of dress. ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property), CCI (Canadian Conservation Institute) и ICN (Netherlands Institute for Cultural Heritage) organize the Course Reducing Risks to Cultural Heritage - 2011 in the period May - November 2011. Programme includes online participation in Course in two periods (23 May to 9 September 2011, and 17 October to 28 November 2011), as well as face-to-face participation from 3 October to 14 October 2011. Mila Popovic-Zivancevic Phd, Chairperson of the Regional Alliance ICOM SEE, was elected as a Member and National Correspondent for Serbia for European Museum Forum – EMF. The main role of the National Correspondents is to support and promote the work of the European Museum Forum by: looking for new developments in the museum field on the national level; identifying candidates for European Museum of the Year Award – EMYA and helping them with the process of application; as well as assisting the Chair of the Judging Committee in organizing the visits to applicants in Serbia. |
